Gran Turismo 7 Day-to-day Races: California Reaper
Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races’ most recent edition is currently playable, featuring three brand-new events over the course of the next seven days at three real-world tracks, one of which is infrequently included in the schedule.
That occurs in Race A, where the race settings have Sportsmanship Rating activated once more. This could be the race where your SR ends this week, as PD has deviated from the customary “No DR/SR” formula for the third week in a row.
The racing takes place in Willow Springs, at the little Horse Thief Mile circuit. This mile-long loop appears to be made up entirely of hairpins that are either uphill or downhill; it’s definitely a circuit where you want to avoid using a lot of power or understeer.
As a result of winning the GT Award at SEMA in 2017, the nearly 400 horsepower, front-wheel drive Garage RCR Civic was introduced to the game in version 1.38. Naturally, you’ll be racing it. Naturally, because you will.
During the six-lap race, the Civic will be on Sport Medium tires, and you should be aware that False Start Check has been enabled for the event. Keep the handbrake or brake applied once all of the lights turn on and until they go out. If you jump the start, your engine’s power will be cut off immediately, and you might end up in a serious collision on the grid.
Race B, which is headed to the Red Bull Ring in Austria, has a little bit more traditional racing. The GT4-like Gr.4 category cars will compete in a five-lap sprint race, and as long as your car has Racing Hard tires, you can choose any other car in the class.
This week’s noteworthy modification is the wider availability of particular vehicle settings. More suspension components can be adjusted than ever before, in addition to the brake balance adjustment that may be made quickly during a race.
Prior to the race, you can adjust the anti-roll bar, damper (compression and expansion), and natural frequency settings as you see fit. This might significantly alter the Gr. 4 cars’ typical ranks and introduce new vehicles into the mix.
This also holds true for the eight-lap Race C at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, where you might want to tune more for tire life than for lap record.
You will be allowed to use both Racing Medium and Racing Soft tires, but both will be required. You will receive a one-minute penalty following the race if you don’t use a full set of each tire for at least one lap during the competition. This means that you can’t enter the pits early in the race, unless you’re far enough behind, or on the very final lap.
This week’s high tire wear multiplier of 8x will make it worse by causing your tires to wear out eight times faster than they should. Then, you’ll need to get the most out of the Soft tires without pushing them too far, which will make them slower than brand-new Mediums.
To gain entry to the Daily Races, you must first unlock Sport Mode in the GT Cafe single player hub by finishing Menu Book 9 (“Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade”).
The next fresh set of GT7’s Daily Races should be available on Monday, November 6. The Daily Races have been updated every Monday throughout the game’s existence.
